Refund & Cancellation Policy

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: 15 October 2026

1. Introduction

Gyanamrit Education and Development Foundation is a Section 8 not-for-profit organisation working towards education, skill development, digital literacy and community empowerment.

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the general approach to refund and cancellation requests relating to donations, contributions and any paid activities that the Foundation may offer.

Important: This policy is a proposed draft. The Foundation must confirm its actual donation acceptance, cancellation and refund arrangements before publication.

2. Donations and Voluntary Contributions

Donations and voluntary contributions, where accepted, are intended to support the Foundation’s charitable objectives and social-development initiatives.

As donations may be allocated towards programme activities and related commitments, refunds are not automatic.

Any refund request will be considered according to the applicable terms communicated at the time of contribution and relevant legal requirements.

3. Duplicate or Incorrect Transactions

If a donor believes that a payment has been duplicated, processed incorrectly or made for an unintended amount, they should contact the Foundation as soon as possible.

The request should include relevant transaction details so that the payment can be reviewed.

Any approved refund will be processed through an appropriate payment method, subject to payment-provider requirements.

4. Refund Request Procedure

To submit a refund request, please contact the Foundation and provide:

  • Donor’s full name

  • Registered email address or phone number

  • Transaction date

  • Transaction reference number

  • Contribution amount

  • Reason for requesting a refund

The Foundation may request additional information reasonably necessary to verify the transaction.

5. Cancellation of Programme Participation

For educational programmes, workshops, training sessions or other activities that require registration, cancellation arrangements may depend on the specific programme.

Where a programme involves a fee, the applicable cancellation and refund terms should be communicated before payment.

Free programme registrations do not ordinarily involve a monetary refund.

6. Programme Cancellation by the Foundation

If a paid programme or activity is cancelled by the Foundation, affected participants will be informed about the available options, including rescheduling or refunds where applicable.

The exact arrangements will depend on the terms communicated for the relevant programme and applicable law.

7. Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved, the Foundation will communicate the applicable processing arrangements.

Actual credit timelines may depend on banks, payment gateways and other financial service providers.

8. Payment Gateway and Banking Charges

Any treatment of payment-processing fees, transaction charges or deductions will be subject to applicable law, payment-provider requirements and the terms disclosed when the payment was made.

9. Policy Updates

The Foundation may update this policy to reflect changes in its programmes, payment arrangements or applicable requirements.

Any changes will be published on this page. The terms applicable to a completed transaction will be assessed with reference to the terms communicated at the time of that transaction and applicable law.
